Kinima is the Greek word for movement, it is also the root word in the etymology of the word Cinema. 

My name is Liam Alexander Domonkos and I go by the monicker of Kinima.

I’m a Filmmaker and Photographer. I have over a decade of experience in the field of video making and a great passion for creating high quality and engaging visual content. 

I have worked on various creative productions including television shows, commercials, music videos, short films, weddings, corporate events and a wide variety of freelance video projects, where I have worked as a producer, cameraman, and editor.

On the 15th of March in 2020, my partner and I arrived to Lake Atitlan, planning on a short stay here before heading off to explore more of the country and then moving on to Mexico. Little did we know that we would be spending the next three plus months stuck in paradise! The outbreak of COVID 19 caused Guatemala to close both its national and regional borders to travel, meaning that not only were we unable to leave the country, we weren't even able to leave the area. Being stuck in a beautiful hotel, set in verdant grounds, in a cute little hippy town on the banks of glorious Lake Atitlan turned out to be an incredible experience, one that saw life-changing encounters and the birth of a beautiful community. This short film is simply a glimpse at the people and the place that created our community.

BOYKEE

'Boykee' is my first feature film. It is a gritty, street-wise examination of a world of drugs and addiction. Set on the streets of Rotterdam, it tells a harrowingly detailed and often heartbreaking account of Boykee's life and struggles. The film concludes in a whirlwind of emotions, drugs and broken dreams in a landscape where desperate needs often cloud good judgment, and the power of friendship and love may not be as strong as the power of addiction.
